The University of the West of Scotland engaged the design team at Graven Images to refurbish the refectory at their Paisley campus. Having worked successfully with BSL on past projects, Gravens engaged BSL to provide expert installation and construction services knowing that we are capable of providing the standard of fit and finish require by an exacting client.
All work had to be carried out during the university’s summer break period to allow normal operations to resume in the newly refurbished facility when the new term started. BSL cleared the existing kitchen and installed all new facilities and equipment, including bespoke service counters in Corian and oak. Feature ceiling rafts were installed to accommodate custom lighting installations and we manufactured bespoke desking and bookcases which were installed in the completed areas.
We understand that clients have schedule pressures beyond their control and that they appreciate high quality workmanship and real commitment to timescales. This project challenged us due to the short timescale and considerable volume of works, but it was delivered on time and to budget, ensuring the client was delighted with the work carried out and the standard of workmanship.
The university congratulated our own project managers, Alan and William, our site managers Stevie and Alex, and everyone in our site and manufacturing teams for delivering the project to an exceptionally high standard within extremely tight timescales, adding that feedback on the project had been fantastic and that Phase 2 was under consideration with BSL as preferred supplier.
